About ToolkitAI
ToolkitAI is a small, independent site offering ten free AI writing tools. It exists because most writing tools have become worse in one specific way: they want an account. You arrive with a task, and before you can do it you are asked to sign up, verify an email, and then discover that the useful part sits behind a subscription.
Every tool here works without an account. You paste your text, you get a result, you copy it. There is no trial, no credit limit, no watermark and no upgrade prompt inside the output.
What the tools actually do
Each tool is a focused prompt sent to a large language model, with instructions written specifically for that one task. That specificity is the whole product. A general-purpose assistant asked to improve a resume bullet will often invent an impressive-sounding metric. The resume tool here is instructed to insert a visible placeholder instead, because a fabricated number is a problem you discover in an interview.
The same constraint appears elsewhere. The cover letter tool will not invent reasons you want to work somewhere. The product description tool will not add a certification or warranty you did not supply. The email tool will not commit you to a date or a price that was not in your notes. These are deliberate limits, and they mean some outputs are shorter and less impressive-looking than a tool with no constraints would produce.
How it is built
The site is a static website served from a content delivery network, which is why it loads quickly and works on a slow mobile connection. The AI requests go through a small server-side function that holds the provider credentials, so no API key is ever exposed in your browser.
Requests are routed across several AI providers in order, falling through to the next one if a provider is busy or has reached its daily limit. The provider that handled your request is displayed next to each result, so you can see when a fallback was used.
Where the limits are
Two honest constraints. First, there is a fair-use limit of 15 generations per hour per visitor, because the underlying AI services run on free quotas and an unmetered endpoint would be consumed by automated traffic. Second, the tools have no access to external facts. They work only from what you give them.
That second point matters more than it sounds. None of these tools can verify a claim, look up a statistic, or check whether a company announcement is real. Everything they produce should be read before it is used, and anything involving legal, medical, financial or safety-critical content should be reviewed by someone qualified to review it.
How the site is funded
Through advertising and affiliate partnerships. Advertising appears on the page but never inside the tool output. Where a link is an affiliate link it is labelled as such, and affiliate relationships do not influence what a tool recommends or how it behaves.
There is no paid tier for the tools described on this site, and no plan to introduce one.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, or a tool produces output that is misleading or broken, please say so through the contact page. Specific reports are genuinely useful, particularly examples where a tool invented something it should not have.
